The changes in the SED IV examination
processes are at the earthshaking and exhilarating level. The frequency of
modification in the ROE format, the irregular data request from SRSO and the
shifting of focus to microfinance contributed greatly to the confusion.
We welcome the changes though, as these
will improve the overall service of BSP to its clientele.
Another welcome development is the
data-warehousing project being spearheaded by the SRSO. The idea to streamline
all the reports needed will avoid duplication and centralize all records for
easy procurement. It will also develop an accurate source of documents that
will significantly bring down the paper works of the line departments.
At the Department level, the document
tracking system being tested will hopefully improve the accuracy of the data
received by the different divisions. It is expected to finally end the cases of
missing files and documents that sow confusion between the SED IV and the banks
concerned.
The personnel involved in these projects
are making lots of sacrifices to make our job easier. Let us join hands not
only to commend but also to cooperate with them in whatever way we can
contribute.
The progress we are making are all geared
to make the BSP a truly world class institution. It is therefore fitting to chant hosannas to the prime movers of these
makeovers. They deserve our warmest pat on their backs!!!
