Hello! We’re half-way to 2002. Before we know it, tapos na ulit ang taon. Let’s take stock of what we’ve accomplished the past semester. That is, of course, beyond the PAR (Performance Appraisal Report).

Oooppps! Speaking of performance, I believe, we will be at our top form if we are healthy. A lot of you noticed that I’ve lost weight, at sexier (????) daw o! I achieved this after more than a year of daily workouts (before going to the office) and diet. Di ito nakukuha in just 10 days! Ask Joy, whom we envied for her svelte body!

oooOooo

Yes, as we mature in our job (di kaya sa age?) we really had to watch our diet – specially those of us who have sweet tooth. Fact is, we can’t burn the same calories that we do when we were younger. That’s why, there are a number of us who are members of the BSP Diabetic Club. Maybe, you are also a candidate for diabetes but you don’t know. When was the last time you had your PE? Those of you who were on field work during the scheduled annual PE can still avail of it. Go2MDC now!!!

oooOooo

We have been so used to taking a plane out of Manila that we normally don’t take a ship to go to our assignments. Last Holy Week, we went to Capiz by ship, which I found very relaxing and enjoyable. Also, I observed that there were lots of sharing among passengers during the trip which we didn’t have in the plane. Since sea trips run from at least 20 hours (going to Visayas) to as much as 3 days (going to Mindanao), you can not help but strike a conversation with your co-passenger. And in just a matter of hours you’ll get to know more of the other person than your officemates whom you have worked with for years! Try it. Tipid pa ang BSP…

oooOooo

During the first semester, we celebrated Mother’s and Father’s Days, a month apart. Let’s pay tribute to our working moms (isa ako dyan ha!) who worked hard to juggle work and family. And to all dads: credit to you for being the head of the family, the protector, and most of all, the provider. Mom/Dad take a vow!!!

oooOooo

Speaking of celebration, 2002 is very significant to the rural bank industry. This year, rural banking celebrates its golden anniversary. Yes, 50 years! Half-a-century! Wala ba tayong activities sa BSP for this momentous occasion? ARBEX na lang kaya mamuno? Calling the attention of ….

oooOooo

Until next issue, mabuhay ang ARBEX, ang DRB, at siyempre tayong lahat!!!
